hey Freeskoolers,
I was recently contacts by a gentleman in North Carolina who has founded a circus program called Flow Circus. They offer great courses, as well as tour across the states performing.
They founded in 1999, and trademarked their name, Flow Circus. Clearly our sharing their name is just not acceptable. It takes an incredible amount of energy and dedication to operate a business, and one of that magnitude… I shudder to imagine. To discover another group of the same name, after all that has gone into creating the business must be stressful and frustrating.
So! We need a new name! Visit our Page, presently called Flow Circus here and help us come to a new name. There is a poll on the page which you can vote on, or even add suggestions of your own. By the 10th of February, Hamilton Flow circus will be renamed…
In the mean time, check out this Flow Circus, hailing from North Carolina, and their videos.
Thanks All!
Jen
Exprience the serenity of flow…
The body’s most natural function is to move. Experience movement in a whole new way as you match the movement of your body to the movement of a dance prop.
Bring your hoops, poi, contact balls and hackie sacks and explore the magic of movement.

7PM – First three Tuesdays of the month Jamesville Community Centre 209 McNab Street North – Hamilton
The Qigong for Healing Freeskool class was re-booted this past November, and will continue through the Freeskool Winter Semester (January – March 2012)…
Thanks to Brad for re-booting the class, and be sure to head by the Jamesville Community Centre (209 McNab Street North – Hamilton) at 7PM for the first three Tuesdays of the month and enjoy Qigong for Healing!
Learn to heal with touch. Qigong healing class will teach you how to access your own healing energies to heal yourself or others. Practice meditational and movement-based yogic exercises. Learn to treat a friend with hands-on healing under the supervision of a qualified facilitator.
Wear comfortable clothing, low heeled shoes, and bring an open mind. What is taught is non-denominational and spiritual, but not religious if you can understand that. Folks sometimes ask if they should bring a yoga mat, and of course this isn’t necessary.

Dear Freeskool Friendlies,
We are planning a get together for everyone who’s interested in talking about how we learn in our society…
Film: “Free to Learn” (Albany, NY Free School – 2007) October 20th, 2011 @ 7:30PM Artword Artbar 15 Colbourne Street – Hamilton, Ontario
We will view the above-mentioned film, and follow the screening with some discussion regarding learning, education and what roles these processes play in our society.
We encourage one and all to come along and join in on the discussion, share your thoughts and experiences, and together we will envision the future of learning…

Listen up!
This time we are very fortunate to have George Sorger telling us a bit about what his perspective focuses on. If you haven’t heard him speak, afford yourself this chance. This 73 year old font of knowledge is an expert on issues of trade and violence, especially in Columbia and especially as it relates to the actions of Canada. This is a superb opportunity to learn. Let’s show him how much Freeskool respects his perspective and appreciates his sharing it with us by bringing a big, open-eared group.
George will also weigh in on the “Cross-Generational Dialogues” themes.
7pm at Jamesville Community Centre (209 McNab North)!
Got an idea for a perspective to share? Got a kid or a parent or a grandparent, or a sibling or a friend or a you, with a thing or two to say? Share the perspective!
Peace, and LOVE!
